IMPACT

Community spirit is alive and well at Hendriks Construction Ltd. “Alberta has been a good place to do business, and we support our community in various ways.” says A. J. (Al) Hendriks, founder of the company and patriarch to his management team that includes his three sons and a daughter. “I think you have to get involved, to help wherever you can.” continues Al.

Those words and that attitude ring true for all the management at Hendriks Construction Ltd. From volunteering at their churches, to assisting their childrens schools and sports teams, to participating regularly with various charity fundraising efforts, community support is just an everyday part of life for the Hendriks ‘family’. And in the Hendriks offices, certificates line the walls. Memberships in professional associations, certificates of excellence in the building industry, accolades for participation and contribution, and recognition of health and safety training – all are signs of participation and respect within their industry and their community.

It is clear that Hendriks Construction Ltd. has a solid plan for its future — to continue to quietly and capably serve the needs of their clientele and their community.

Habitat for Humanity ‘Frame Game’

Each day, eight teams comprised of volunteer builders from various companies compete against each other to have their half of a duplex framed and ready for the roof to go on. It is a successful day that brings families one step closer to realizing their dream of home ownership. Past winners have been Apollo Homes  and Cameron Homes.
