There was a time in the corporate community when business was conducted on a handshake and a man’s name was his most important reference. For Al Hendriks, those times haven’t changed. Old-fashioned ethics – like honour, integrity and family values – are the philosophies on which his company is built.

Hendriks Construction Ltd. is a family firm, founded by Al in 1975 and operated today by a management team that includes his three sons Perry, Allen, John and his daughter, Angie. “My name to me is worth everything” Al, Sr. says. “This is a tough business, and to defend our name is something we work hard at. Our first priority is looking after our clients.”

OUR TEAM

With our family team, we have developed a very lean and efficient construction company. Our boys are very versatile. They’re not just site superintendents. They all learned from scratch, and they know what’s involved – how to take a project from ground zero and work up from there.

Hendriks’ personnel are experienced and proficient in going far beyond their supervisory roles. They can provide excavation, demolition, framing, finish carpentry, surveying and concrete work – an impressive roster of expertise. The company’s portfolio runs the gamut from industrial complexes and retail shopping centres to churches, recreational facilities, seniors’ residences and much more. That reputation for versatility has allowed Hendriks Construction to carve out a unique and enviable niche in the local building market.
